NAME AVA SOPHIA FARADAY DOB OCTOBER 12TH 1987 SEXUALITY HETEROSEXUAL LOCATION MANHATTAN, NEW YORK OCCUPATION STUDENT, MATH TUTOR
BIOGRAPHY Taking a cue from the book of the Black Crowes, Ava will tell just about anyone that she’s an orphan, never forgetting to mention how she belongs to nobody, threading together stories of how her parents abandoned her at the train station to fend for herself, clinging onto survival by asking strangers for spare change and eventually crawling to security as she grew up. She’ll tell you her mother was the sole victim in a pile-up on the freeway and her father - heartbroken and torn to shreds, the pieces too shattered to put back together - fled his life for a new one in Paris, never acknowledging his own daughter with anything more than a birthday card full of cash. Of course, nothing could be farther from the truth with every word out of Ava's mouth part of an illusion, elaborate stories filled with intricacies of tragedy she’d never touched. Ava grew up in wealth, her father a Physics professor and her mother a concert pianist and composer in the long line of money, a family tree full of high-end professions. Her parents being complete opposites, she grew up in the battle of theorems and lullabies, the sound of a baby grand fighting with differentials and limits.
Ava was always too smart for her own good, cruising through school without even breaking a sweat, the lines of information in textbooks seemingly written on her skin. Her father chalked it up to genetics, always holding a penchant for academics himself, the love for science and mathematics running through the blood in her body. When the time came for college, she found herself enrolled at NYU for Mathematics before she’d even finished applying, her father craving for his only child to follow in his footsteps. Music and artistry was for fun, a hobby or pasttime, but nothing more than that; Ava’s mother already held that story, turning her passion into a pay check and Ava was meant for something more. She didn’t mind terribly, never fighting against the future that seemed to have taken hold of her before she’d even thought about it. As much as she'd like to refute the fact that it was as natural as breathing, she couldn't. Having no ground to fight against the claims, no justification to struggle with the idea of taking the steps toward a life full of math, she was stuck.
However intelligent she may be on paper, that type of intellectual well-being never truly translates into her personality. She can be well-spoken if she consciously chooses to be, otherwise mouthing off and drenching her sentences with ill-thought out ideas and curse words. She’s eccentric and restless, never staying still and never quite portraying the family name up to its so-called standard. A proper image she isn’t, howling away all night front and center at any available bartop and pouncing at every opportunity for excitement that walks in her direction.
